Description

Less than one hundred and fifty examples of the special edition Z8 Roadster were produced for the UK market, and this is the very last UK car supplied at the end of 2002. Finished in Titanium Silver with full black Nappa leather interior it remains in excellent original condition and has covered only 30,000 summer miles in the hands of four owners. It has a full BMW service history and comes with all books, tools, tonneau cover, hard top and hard top stand.

The original invoice on file shows that the car was sold when new by BMW main dealer Scotthall, Cambridge to another BMW main dealer, Altwood BMW, in Maidenhead who supplied the car to the first owner via their Brighton branch in February 2003. This first customer retained the Z8 until 2010 and used the car sparingly with only 11,500 miles being covered in seven years.

The second owner kept the Z8 from 2010 until 2015 and continued to look after the car very carefully whilst using it sparingly, at this point servicing and maintenance transferred to BMW dealer Sycamore in Peterborough from Park Lane BMW in London. The mileage increased from 11,500 miles to 25,500 miles in this period.

A third owner, also UK based, purchased the Z8 to keep at his estate in Ibiza in 2015 and had the car serviced there in November 2016 at 27,680 miles. The Z8 returned to these shores in 2018 and was sold in July of that year by a UK Ferrari main dealer to the fourth and last owner. Since purchase the Z8 has been used sparingly once again, the mileage rising to just over 30,000 miles in the intervening period. Again, it has been carefully used and stored and serviced by BMW main dealer BMW Portsmouth in August 2020.

The Z8 really seems to have matured well and it’s easy to see why. A glorious 5.0 litre V8 with a great exhaust note that actually comes from the exhaust not the car speakers, plenty of power everywhere, a slick six speed manual gearbox, lots of lovely retro detail, brilliant build quality and great usability. They remain a rare sight and look like value now for what they offer. I covered 100 miles in this one recently and really enjoyed it, a satisfying car to own and drive.

This final UK example is in unmarked original condition having been carefully looked after and maintained by each of its four owners. It comes with everything including a detailed history file with every invoice from new to date, MOT certificates and a stamped service book. A great ownership proposition.
