History:
Born to celebrate the heritage of the legendary 507, the BMW Z8 is much more than a simple roadster: it is a neo-retro work of art designed by Henrik Fisker. Beneath its sculptural aluminium bodywork lies the character of the E39 M5, with its 4.9-litre 400 hp V8 paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Produced in just 5,703 examples, the Z8 is now a highly sought-after collector car whose value continues to rise, offering a raw and “analogue” driving experience that has become virtually unavailable in modern production cars.
This example was delivered new in Germany in June 2001 and has had 3 owners. The car arrived in France in 2023 and has French registration documents. Purchased from Thiesen by the current owner, the car comes with an exceptional file documenting a clear history and an unusually high standard of maintenance.
This BMW Z8, finished in the very rare Stratus Grey, is sold with all its original accessories and Z8-specific equipment, including production book #AF78793, protective cover, original owner’s manuals, hardtop and hardtop stand, telephone, etc.
Condition:
The car is presented in a rare colour combination, with Stratus Grey paintwork and a cream interior. This metallic grey shade with golden reflections, combined with the beautiful cream leather interior, makes the car particularly desirable.
The car is in excellent overall condition. The paintwork has a beautiful shine, while the wheels and chrome elements are in very good condition. The soft top was replaced in 2021, and the hardtop and its stand are both in excellent condition.
Inside, the leather is in excellent condition and has been perfectly preserved, as have the carpets. The body-coloured interior elements are also very well preserved, and all dashboard instruments are fully functional. The car is equipped with heated seats, cruise control, a 6-CD changer, a wind deflector and its original telephone.
Mechanically, the car has always been serviced within the BMW network and is in excellent mechanical condition. It has just undergone a service prior to sale, four new tyres have been fitted and the roadworthiness inspection has been completed.
