Power comes from a 4.9-litre ‘S62’ naturally aspirated V8, which is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission.

Purchased new from Europe but federalised before delivery. Imported from the US to the UK and re-registered on 5 May 2017

EQUIPMENT AND OPTIONS:

While it left the factory in European specification, it was federalised in early 2001 by G&K Auto Conversion in Santa Ana, California.

In 2017, the car’s original red leather interior was removed, and a black interior was sourced from another Z8 with just 3,000 miles on the odometer. This work was carried out by main dealer Soper BMW in Lincoln.

When the vendor acquired the car, he had the exhaust system upgraded to a GTHaus system ordered from the US. The original exhaust system is also included.

The factory hardtop and stand are included, along with a car cover.

CONDITION:

Paintwork is in excellent condition, and is believed to be all original.

The black leather upholstery is in very good order, benefiting from being substituted from an even lower-mileage car.

The most recent MOT test was on 24 September 2021 at 18,643 miles, which was a clean pass with no advisories.

SERVICE HISTORY:

The most recent service was carried out in September 2019 at 18,083 miles, with Soper BMW Lincoln carrying out an engine oil change, also renewing the brake fluid.

In October 2002, its steering rack was replaced, along with the left and right side engine mounts, and the valve cover gaskets.
