Description

Developed in secret by a group of engineers within BMW’s M division, the E36/8 M Coupe was based on the company’s successful Z3 roadster. The high-performance yet still practical M Coupe was nonetheless some 200% stiffer than the roadster and maintained an almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution. Manufactured in limited numbers from 1998 to 2002, just 2,858 were built for the US.

This 2001 M Coupe is one of 678 examples equipped with the desirable 315 hp S54 engine introduced towards the end of production. Finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over a black leather interior, this M Coupe has been sparingly used, displaying less than 7,000 miles on its odometer at the time of cataloguing. To prepare for the sale, the M Coupe was treated to a BMW “10-year service” by marque experts Enthusiast Auto Group of Cincinnati, Ohio, which included an oil and filter change, complete fluid flush, and mounting new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

Accompanied by its books, tools, AutoCheck and CARFAX Vehicle History Reports, keys, and M Mobility Kit, this M Coupe must be one of the lowestmileage and most attractive S54 examples currently available. Increasingly commanding the attention of collectors, this gorgeous M Coupe is one not to be missed.
