In 1999 BMW unveiled its concept for the E46 M3. It would enter production without many changes in 2000, and it immediately stole the hearts of critics and enthusiasts alike. It produced 333 horsepower and sent power through either a Getrag 6-speed transmission or a BMW-developed SMG II automated manual.
