Description

"1996 BMW M3 E36 SEDAN
Chassis number: WBAAK510909584532
6-speed manual gearbox
Exterior color Techno-Violett-Metallic
Rare sedan version
78,500 kilometers

After the success of the first M3 based on the E30 coupe, BMW repeats the experience with the E36 3 series. This M3, like its predecessor, will be available as a coupe, a sedan and a convertible. Produced to a little more than 70 000 copies between 1992 and 1999, it embarks a first six cylinder 3.0L (S50B30) then a second six cylinder 3.2L (S50B32). The six cylinder benefits from a double camshaft equipped with the Vanos phase variator, thus conferring a very important torque as of 3600 rpm. The first 3.0L version delivers 286 horsepower, 50 more than the E30 equipped with the 4 cylinders and is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. As for the 3.2L, the power reaches 321 hp and is then associated with a six-speed manual gearbox. There are some specific elements on this car such as the double-spoke mirrors, a body kit different from the ""classic"" series, painted rocker panels like the bodywork and an optional spoiler. More accomplished and sporty than the E30, the M3 E36 is definitely the best of what BMW did in the 90s. Competing with the Ferrari 348 or Porsche 993, the M3 E36 is one of the best in terms of quality/price ratio.
The car we're presenting comes in a rare shade of purple (Techno-Violett-Metallic) that contrasts with the white leather interior and wood trim. With only 78,500 kilometers on the clock, this car comes with a lot of options like a phone and a sunroof. This one is a 3.2L, the most powerful version, with a six-speed manual transmission. It's a sedan body, which is the least common of the three left-hand drive cars in Europe (1,296 units). The engine runs but needs a good mechanical revision to be able to take the road serenely. On the body side, nothing to expect either, the paint is in good general condition. If you are looking for a sporty, rare, low mileage car with a rising price tag, you won't find better than this beautiful M3 E36."
