Description
Beautiful BMW E63 645CI with the N62 V8 running under the hood. Stylishly fitted with almost every conceivable option. This once detested 6-series by Chris Bangle appears to be gaining ground well over 15 years later. That signature butt with ribbed tail lights still makes tongues wag. The design was based on an earlier prototype from 1999, the Z9 Gran Turismo.
While the first BMW produced with the so-called 'Bangle Butt' was the E65, the 6-series really shook things up in terms of styling. They're an acquired taste, but it was certainly futuristic in the 2000s.
Next, on to this one. The Sechser was delivered in Italy, where it also spent the first 15 years of its existence. Service booklet is neatly filled in and stamped every 10,000 km. Punctual, we could say. In the Netherlands, the car has always been maintained at the same garage and has even received an automatic transmission overhaul (€4,500). The automatic transmission therefore shifts perfectly and smoothly.
The engine itself still feels fresh and has more than enough power when the throttle hits the ground. The engine pulls eagerly, but never truly becomes aggressive. As a result, the Six simply remains an extremely comfortable cruiser. Wonderful for holidays, with the roof off. Naturally, there are a few signs of wear, such as scratches and small dents. No alarming things. In the interior, the sun has weathered some of the plastic parts, but overall the car looks tidy. The Xenon headlights still lend a timeless feel to the car.
The car comes with two pairs of keys and all booklets.
The car can be viewed in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. This Classic Car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button.
