Description

The E28 was the second generation of the BMW 5-series and marked one of the earliest uses of BMW’s renowned driver-oriented cockpits, helping establish the automaker’s reputation for building world-class sports sedans. This stunning 1988 BMW 535i was sold new in California and, in 2014, moved to Georgia and Ohio, where it was owned by well-known and respected BMW CCA members. It is finished in Bronzit Beige Metallic over a tan Llama leather interior and equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox. Otherwise very original, this 535i was upgraded under previous enthusiast ownership with tasteful modifications including European bumpers with an M5 front valence and chin spoiler, European headlight conversion and washing system, sport seats, Bilstein sport suspension, and color-matched 17" BBS Style 5 crossspoke wheels. Featured in the July 2013 edition of Bimmer magazine, this BMW received several First Place concours awards including the Legends of the Autobahn in 2012 and 2013, and the BMW CCA Oktoberfest in 2013. To prepare this car for its next owner, renowned marque specialist Enthusiast Auto Group performed work in 2019, which included a detailing, engine service, complete fluid change, and recharging the air-conditioning.

Illustrating the care received throughout its life, this BMW is accompanied by books, tools, keys, cover, battery tender, concours trophies, and extensive file of receipts and documentation. With few concours-condition E28 examples left existing today, this award-winning 535i is a unique and exciting opportunity.
