The BMW 327 Sports Convertible offered for sale here was sold and registered in Erfurt on 02.09.1939 according to the BMW Classic certificate available. In 2002 it was in 3rd ownership in Sweden and was acquired in 2015 by the current owner as a restoration object and imported to Germany.

It was then thoroughly restored and has been in technically impeccable and well-maintained condition ever since. A documentation of the restoration with pictures of the original state is available and shows the care with which this was done. Thanks to regular exercise and maintenance there is no storage damage, the engine starts well and runs very smoothly. Also the interior impresses by a perfect condition, all switches and levers do their job, the leather looks well maintained and has no damage.

The original, fully synchronized ZF transmission with four gears is installed. During the restoration, great importance was attached to the preservation of the original parts. That's why it was completely overhauled, just like the engine, and not replaced. The split bonnet, the centre lock rims and the seats that can be adjusted to the reclining position are original, very rare extras.

The "Sportkabriolett", as BMW called it at the time, still impresses today with its good drivability, despite the low power output of 55 hp by today's standards. However, these allowed a top speed of 125 km/h, which was remarkable for the time. Nevertheless, even then it was not a racing car, but a touring sports car, which accompanies you confidently on any country road.
