Description
First registered on 08/04/1991, this is one of the last Sportexamples producedUK-supplied withthe M-Tech2 package, its list of M-Sportupgrades is impressivePowered bythe legendary 171bhp M20 2494cc straight-six, good for 132 mph and 0-60 in 9.9 secondsWith a full book pack and comprehensive history, its full tool kit, and in completely original condition thisis a great opportunity for a collector or BM enthusiastOffered at No Reserve, this 325i (E30) is a fantastic opportunity to own one of the best sporting saloons of the early ninetiesCompact rear-wheel drive saloons were in short supply in the 1980's and consequently, the E30 quickly stood out as something special, being lightweight, refined, and offering unparalleled driving pleasure. The range-topping M3 is now rightly one of the most sought-after sports cars of the last 30 years and can command in excess of 100,000.With the success of the M3, BMW capitalised on the demand for more sporting E30s, and in 1986 gave the market the 325i Sport, a 2-door only model with numerous M-Tech upgrades from BMW's Motorsport Division. These included an M Technic body-kit and boot spoiler, Anthracite headlining (unique to the 325i Sport), a limited-slip differential, M Technic suspension (15mm lower springs and Boge M Technic shock absorbers) and a 5-speed ZF close-ratio gearbox. The car is powered by the legendary M20 2494cc straight-six engine giving 171bhp and 164 lb-ft of torque, good for 132 mph and 0-62 mph time of 9.9 seconds, decently quick but it's really the whole driving experience that impresses so much. This example is a 1991 BMW E30 325i Sport (Tech-2), UK-supplied, right-hand drivecar supplied by David Prentice (Cars) Ltd to Mr Purcell of Northern Ireland, finished in Alpine White andfirst registered on 8th April 1991. According to the service records, the car was diligently serviced by itsfirst owner before being sold, in 1995, to a gentleman from Cardiff who apparentlyonly used it occasionally. He, in turn, passed it on to aMr Watts, a senior Army Officer who was stationed in Germany. All the BM's owners appear to have regularlyserviced the car, mostly at main dealers withsome specialists, and all of this is detailed in the car's extensive history file.In summary, this smart325 has been enjoyed by fourprevious keepers and currentlyhas covered 89,300 miles. The car is accompanied by a full book-pack, original paperwork and tool kit. This is one of the last 325 Sports built and ishighly desirable, eminently usable andin excellentcondition. The market for sportingE30s continues to strengthen and this lovely example, at No Reservewill soon be off to a new home.
