The car is in good condition of an elderly well aging and charming restoration :
The car on sale seems to have been sold new to Switzerland. From 1950 it had only five owners; the last one since 1982.
According to his widow the last owner bought the car 44 years ago near Zurich from wellknown swiss BMW specialist Mr Brodowski . It just had been restored.
Whole body and paint had been done then, and today shows a few cracks, dents and a little orange peel. Panel fit of bonnet is average, doors and truck are rather good. There was no filler used on the wings. Wooden frames of doors and boot are in good condition. Additional side screens have been fitted. Chrome is sometimes average but original. Both headlamps have bumps due to the incorrect bonnet closing.
Interior was restored too and the black leather now shows a nice patina. Carpets are old and damaged by moths. Instruments are all original safe fuel tank lever. Soft top is in good condition. Tonneau and hood cover are with the car, as well as the side windows. Battery case was slightly modified.
The engine in good running. Gearbox working well, clutch a little harsh. Tyres are old, and electrics partly too modern. Exhaust is old too.
The tubular frame still bears the original panels fitted under the engine. This is quite rare and to be noticed.
