The Bentley Continental R was a large and expensive luxury coupé made for a limited period from 1991 to 2002. An enthusiastic reception from the motor show it was showcased at led the company to develop the vehicle for production as the Continental R. Based on the Bentley Turbo R floor pan, an aerodynamically shaped coupé body was styled. The "Continental” designation recalls the Bentley Continental of the post-war period.
