Description

About this Collectable

The first generation Bentley Continental GT is still a very impressive car today. A perfect GT with a mighty 6.0 liter W12 under the hood. This is a particularly stylish example, finished in Cypress Green with a brown interior.

Around the turn of the century, Bentley was an illustrious brand, but the models were not exactly 'state of the art'. That changed with the Continental GT, the first Bentley under Volkswagen. This car was a instant succes and put Bentley back on the map.

The first Continental GT was a very important car for Bentley at the time, but it is still a very impressive car by today's standards. Not least because of the mighty 6.0 liter W12 that can be found under the hood.

Thanks to two turbos, the W12 produces no less than 560 hp and 650 Nm of torque. That is quite spectacular, especially for a car that was introduced almost twenty years ago. This Bentley only needs 4.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h. And while all German cars are limited to 250 km/h, this Continental just keeps going, all the way up to 318 km/h.

Of course, a Bentley is not just about speed, but above all about comfort. With its air suspension, the Continental GT is a perfect travel car. With the beautiful brown leather upholstery, the many beautiful details and the top-quality finish, the interior has a very special ambiance. The Breitling clock in the dashboard is the icing on the cake.

Thanks to the four-wheel drive (at the time a first on a Bentley) you can always safely utilize the huge amount of power and torque. And you can even take the children with you, provided you have no more than two.

This specific example - finished in the stylish colour Cypress Green and with 19-inch Mulliner rims - was delivered in Switzerland. The car has had one owner there. In 2020 the car was brought to the Netherlands, where the car again had one private owner. The car has covered less then 92.000 km in the past 17 years.
