After the success of the Mulsanne, Mulsanne Turbo, the Eight and Turbo R, the Brooklands R was the Mayan cigar of the humidor. Right, the best (and most expensive) one! Das Sprichwort "Never change a winning team" wird beim Winged B sehr ernst genommen. Nach dem Erfolg des Mulsanne, des Mulsanne Turbo, des Eight und des Turbo R war der Brooklands R die Maya-Zigarre des Humidors. Richtig, die beste (und teuerste)! Basierend auf dem Mulsanne war dies der letzte wirklich kastenförmige Bentley, der mit seinem größeren Bruder Royce geteilt wurde.
Für den "R" wurde der 6,75-Liter-Achtzylinder mit einem Niederdruck-Garret-Turbo ausgestattet, der bereits ab 2.000 Umdrehungen pro Minute fast die volle Leistung bringt. Das war gut für Ihren Fahrer Charles, wenn er zusammenfährt. Dank des Gittergrills und der großen Lufteinlässe an der vorderen Stoßstange wird die "sportlichere" Wahl schnell deutlich. Dann könnten die zusätzlichen 75 Polo-Pferde besser atmen! Seit ihrer Geburt im Jahr 1998 stand sie auf der Liste der gefährdeten Arten; in Crewe wurden nur 221 Tiere geboren.

Unserer? Wie zu erwarten, etwas ganz Besonderes. Ein komplett originaler Black Emerald Lack, der in der Sonne tatsächlich zu einem tiefdunklen -ich will- ähm... grün wird! Der Innenraum besteht ausschließlich aus weißen Connolly-Kühen, die mit dunkelbrauner Eiche akzentuiert sind. Frisch aus einer deutschen Privatsammlung vom dritten Besitzer, nur 88 Tausend souveräne Kilometer genossen. Vollständig vom Händler gewartet und dokumentiert. Sie ist aufgewärmt und bereit, Sir!
