The second generation of the Bentley Azure came about in the twilight years when VAG and BMW were fighting over who would become the new owners of Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Eventually VAG took over Bentley, whilst BMW took ownership of Rolls-Royce. During the negotiations Volkswagen soon realised Bentley would have to invest in developing their own power plant or else facing going Cap-in-hand to BMW for its 4.4 V8. Bentley therefore started to thoroughly proceed with developing their 6.75 tappet valved V8, the engine fitted to this Azure. The visionary decision of the then VAG boss, Piëch, hit the mark with the 6.75 V8 engine in this Bentley remaining the chief reason people buy the car.

This Bentley azure has a timeless finish of Meteor Blue Metallic paired with a tan leather and light burr walnut wooden interior trim, topped with a blue coloured hood. The bodywork is in splendid shape with lovely panelwork and impeccable brightwork. Naturally all panels are align correctly. The obligatory electric hood is in good condition. The ceramic coating of the Meteor Blue paintwork has ensured it has remained extremely well preserved. The car stands proudly on very good quality chrome rims.

The tan interior trim looks great. The leather is in excellent condition as is the burr walnut wood. As one has every right to expect, this car provides one with all manner of creature comforts.
