Description

Chassis No. SCBZK14E0XCX61801

Designed by one of the world's finest coachbuilders, Pininfarina, then hand-assembled and finished by Rolls-Royce, it was no surprise that every one of Bentley's 1,015 Azure units was pre-sold before even being built. An evolution of the Continental R, the Azure soon achieved iconic status among luxury car buyers. Now, more than 25 years since its 1995 introduction, it has a deserved reputation as being one of the best combinations of power and luxury to emerge from Bentley's Crewe factory

The Azure's elegant, understated body design, luxurious interior, and state-of-the-art powertrain was designed for maximum motoring style, comfort, and performance. Capable of a maximum speed of 155 mph, the Azure is a car that elevates the driving experience beyond mere transportation with its top speed simply the byproduct of the power produced from its 6.75-liter V8 intercooled turbocharged engine. The sumptuous Connolly leather upholstery was fashioned with the goal to be peerless among all luxury car manufacturers.

This low-mileage Bentley reflects the impeccable care each of its careful owners insisted upon. It is presented in the elegant original color of Magnolia, with Connolly leather upholstery in contrasting Autumn with Magnolia piping and brown carpets. A matching tan power top was observed to raise and lower easily at the time of cataloging. Chrome wheel faces were noted to show some oxidation upon inspection, though otherwise the Bentley presents in very tidy fashion. The accompanying clean CARFAX report notes three owners, with the original owner residing in Florida. By February 2003 the Azure had made its way to Southern California with its second owner, at which time it had recorded just under 10,000 miles. It has remained in the sunny Golden State ever since.

A comprehensive digital file of service documentation accompanies the car, dating back to 2004, and chronicling regular maintenance by Los Angeles-based marque specialists, Scott Motors, and later Charles Agapiou, Ltd. Most recently, in June 2019 and just a few hundred miles ago, the Azure received a service at Charles Agapiou and had its brake distribution valves rebuilt.

Ultimately, this is a driver's car disguised as a boulevard cruiser; a powerful, yet well-mannered machine, equally capable of a spirited run through the mountains as an elegant conveyance for a foursome to the local golf club. Presented here, as when new, this Azure offers the ultimate in comfort and style delivering exciting, powerful, yet impeccable road manners.
