EXTERIOR
Finished in Gun metal grey this Mono is a lightweight, ultra high performance, road legal supercar designed and manufactured using racing technology that set new benchmark when launched in the small, but elite segment of radical, lightweight extreme track cars.

This vision runs throughout the Mono’s appearance and it was fundamental to the designers that form follow function on all aspects of the car. The necessity to gain access to the central driving position and adjustable dampers as well as providing clean airflow to the radiators and engine are just some of the factors on which Mono’s architecture is built and result in the race car aesthetics and extreme styling of this road legal race car.

Chassis No.9 was ordered new by its current owner and finished in April 2013, it benefits from having Paint Protection Film (PPF) applied to all the high impact areas from the factory.

INTERIOR
The Mono uses a carbon fibre composite construction over a steel chassis (with FIA compliant rollover structure) inspired by the construction principles employed in DTM race cars.

The single central-seat layout gave the designers and project engineers the ultimate blank canvas on which to reach their goals. The organic, enclosed front and exposed mechanical rear typifies the unique appearance of Mono.

Climbing in requires some care and attention and should not be rushed, the F1 Style steering wheel is removable via a quick release mechanism if needed. The carbon fibre tub has minimal luxuries but is beautifully finished in alcantara and leather, defined with red stitching with plenty of carbon fibre on display.

The nose of the vehicle provides a storage compartment and doubles as impact protection.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The Mono is powered by a 2.3 litre four cylinder Cosworth engine producing 285 bhp at 7700 rpm, a heavily modified Ford Duratec. The Mono weights just 540 kg resulting in a staggering, super car beating 525 bhp per tonne power to weight ratio. These specifications result in a 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph.

A start procedure is necessary to ensure all systems for security, engine and gearbox are checked before the engine fires into life. Track telemetry and all necessary information is available via the LCD screen on the steering wheel with all other controls neatly packaged around this.

The 6 speed sequential gearbox is operated via paddles on the steering wheel with an hydraulic clutch still in place. Operating much like a motorbike gearbox moving up and down through the box with the clutch not necessary needed during enthusiastic or performance driving.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Lightweight black alloys are wrapped in specifically designed Kumho V70A tyres, with good tread for road or track use.

AP Racing developed the braking system and as such the car carries 4 pot calipers all round, branded and clamped to drilled steel discs.

HISTORY FILE
This one owner BAC Mono chassis No.09 was supplied new from the factory on the 16/04/13, it has been serviced on time every year since 2013 having visited either Super Venttura or the Mono factory in Liverpool, on 6 separate occasions for an annual service.

The history file has all documents from new, including the original order form, purchase receipt, service invoicing and picture documented build record from the factory. As an early chassis number it was used as the static display vehicle in the studio during Top gear, Series 20, Episode 2 and at further promotional events in the hands of its private owner such as Monaco GP, Wilton House Supercar meeting, Top Gear live in Barbados and Raceweek in London.

Showing just 4,400 miles from new this road legal race car is ready to be used and enjoyed by its next owner.
