Description

"The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960s and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout, allowing 80% of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the 1980s and was offered in a number of limited editions that usually included a special combination of trim and badging.
Presented in red this is clearly a cherished example of the Mini 1000. Ideal for an entry level classic or indeed Mini enthusiasts this car has been sympathetically upgraded with bucket seats, full retrim, modern stereo and sports steering wheel to the interior. In addition, Cooper stripes and Monte Carlo style fog lamps, flared arches and mini lite wheels have been added to the exterior. The engine has also been well looked after, with all this leading the car to be a local show winner on multiple occasions, beating many more exotic cars on display. Offered with a new MoT test certificate, in splendid order this racy looking example is sure to be very popular.
Guide Price £10,000 - £15,000
