This vehicle is a truly one of a kind race car which has competed in many domestic and international historic rallies. Still sporting its racing livery, it was previously used by Western Australian rally driver John Ivey for entry into the Redex race across Australia throughout the 1980s and 1990s including the 1995 Mobil Around Australia trial of which it has completed over 15 races across the Nullarbor.
The A90 was powered by an engine based on the proven Austin A70 OHV engine design, but increased to 2,660 cc (162 cu in). The large four-cylinder produced 88 bhp (66 kW).
It comes fully CAMS certified with all logbooks and is ready for racing again in most historic events. The vehicle retains a large history file detailing its racing achievements and various works carried out. It also comes with a considerable amount of spares.
The Austin A90 is a British car that was produced by the Austin Motor company from 1949 to 1952. It was launched initially as a four-seat convertible, making its début at the 1948 Earls Court Motor Show in London, with production models built between spring 1949 and late 1950.
