This Austin-Healey 100-4 BN2 was manufactured on 7 June 1956 and dispatched to Los Angeles via Donald Healey Motor Company of Warwick, England. It was originally finished in Reno Red over a Red leather interior with a black convertible top, and was fitted with a heater and a laminated windscreen, according to the accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate. Its most recent restoration, in 2018, by Philadelphia-based marque specialists BRC saw the car refinished in its current color scheme of black over green AutoMat leather upholstery with contrasting black piping. The engine and suspension were also refurbished and the car’s U.S.-market, miles-per-hour Smiths speedometer was reset.

Following the previous owner’s acquisition in 2018, the car received a number of upgrades to improve drivability. These included converting the electrics to a 12-volt system, fitting yellow LED front lights with rock guards, and adding a high-flow aluminum radiator and electronic ignition. To enhance the car’s aesthetics, the front and rear bumpers and convertible top were removed, and the original wire wheels were changed to wheels with chromed spokes.

The car is powered by a numbers-matching 2.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Driven sparingly since its 2018 restoration, this Austin-Healey 100-4 carries on the marque’s storied racing pedigree.

Please note that this car does not include Breitling timers.
