Description

Chassis No. SCFAC24305B501902

Engine No. 12298

Aston Martin's Vanquish S, introduced at the 2004 Paris Motor Show, updated the company's sleek V-12-powered sports coupe with new cylinder heads, featuring fully machined inlet ports and combustion chambers for improved airflow, revised engine mapping, and redesigned fuel injectors. Other mechanical features included stiffer Sport Dynamic suspension, more precise steering, and upgraded brakes with larger six-piston calipers and larger rear discs. The body was carefully massaged, with its lines subtly adjusted for maximum aerodynamic efficiency.

With these modifications the new car now offered 520 bhp and 425 lb/ft of torque, and could achieve a maximum top speed of 200 mph. This was the first production Aston Martin model to be capable of that figure, and, at the time, was the fastest standard roadgoing car that the company had ever produced.

Jim Taylor, an avid Aston Martin connoisseur for decades, purchased this Vanquish S new from his preferred dealer, Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, Connecticut. Finished in wonderful Meteorite Silver with an interior in Bentley Saddle leather, it is equipped with the standard 6-speed paddle-shifted transmission, as well as the optional 2+2 seating, painted brake calipers, front stone guards, satellite navigation, integral phone, heated front seats and windshield, and power folding side mirrors.

Mr. Taylor has much enjoyed this car which, at the time of cataloging, had recorded 46,669 actual miles. It is accompanied by a most reassuring history file, including a clean CARFAX and thorough service history, including invoices for the fitment of new fuel pumps and a new clutch, the latter at a cost of over $10,000, in 2013.

An excellent driver's Aston Martin, this Vanquish S is now proudly offered from one enthusiastic pilot to another!
