"Unveiled at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show, the Ian Callum designed Vanquish was an instant sales success and its choice of transport for James Bond only added to the appeal. Every car enthusiast throughout the world wanted the successor to the Virage. The 6.0 litre, V12 produced engine pushed out 450bhp, mated to a 'flappy paddle' electro-hydraulic manual gearbox, fly by wire throttle and, of course, looks to die for! It was no surprise that the car was the top of the Aston Martin range throughout its seven years of production. The Aston Martin legend as the ultimate British sports car was set to continue.
This truly stunning Aston Martin was originally sold by Murray Motor Company in Edinburgh and registered on 18th July 2003. The first owner kept the car for eight years before the current registered keeper purchased the Vanquish in November 2011. The first nine services were carried out by Murray Motor Company and when the car changed hands in 2011 the new keeper had the car serviced twice by Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell. In 2013 with the mileage at 2,059 the car went into storage for six years. It was serviced again by Aston Martin Works on 2nd May 2019 with the mileage reading 2,077. Finished in metallic blue with a two-tone interior this Aston Martin is supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 23rd July 2021 together with the original service book and a folder with a significant amount of invoices and previous MoT’s. Few cars that are 17 years old can be described ‘as new’- but this one certainly can.
The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day."
