Mit der Renaissance des ?Vantage?-Modellnamens im Jahr 1977 atmete die Aston-Martin-Fangemeinde auf: Zum ersten Mal seit 1969 gab es wieder eine Hochleistungsversion des Aston Martin V8. Statt der rund 300 PS des Basismodells leistete der Vantage 380 PS, und er hob sich z.B. durch einen Frontspoiler und breitere Reifen ab. Von der Cabriolet-Version Vantage Volante wurden von 1986 bis 1989 nur 166 Stück gebaut, davon lediglich 78 mit X-Pack.

Dieser V8 wurde im September 1988 ausgeliefert. Er war das Ausstellungsfahrzeug von Aston Martin auf der Birmingham Motor Show 1988 und er verfügt über das X-Pack-Leistungssteigerungspaket mit 438 PS. Der Volante war Bestandteil einer bedeutenden Aston-Martin-Sammlung.

Dieser Wagen ist einer von nur sehr wenigen gebauten Volante X-Pack mit Schaltgetriebe. Er hat eine Laufleistung von nur 25.500 Meilen und verfügt über seinen originalen Motor. Aufgrund seiner Seltenheit und seiner geschmackvollen Farbkombination ist der Volante ein hervorragendes Investment. With the renaissance of the "Vantage" model name in 1977, the Aston Martin fan community breathed a sigh of relief: For the first time since 1969 there was a high performance version of the Aston Martin V8. Instead of the approximately 300 hp of the standard model, the Vantage delivered 380 hp, and it stood out with, among other things, a front spoiler and wider tyres. Only 166 of the convertible version Vantage Volante were built between 1986 and 1989, and only 78 of them with the X-Pack option.

This Volante was delivered new in September 1988. It was Aston Martin's show car at the 1988 Birmingham Motor Show and it comes with the X-Pack performance package with 438 hp. The vehicle was part of an important Aston Martin collection.

This car is one of only very few Volante X-Packs with manual transmission. It has only an original 25,500 miles and features its original engine.
