Description

The Aston Martins of the 80's are a perfect compromise between the power and spectacle of an American muscle car and the elegance and refinement of an English roadster. Introduced in 1978, the V8 Vantage will be sold in several variants, but the V8 Volante, our convertible version will be the most exclusive and will have been a great commercial success. Mixing comfort, luxury, sport and performance, the V8 Volante is an ode to the pleasure of driving on long journeys on the most beautiful roads.

The car we are selling was introduced in the United States on January 1, 1980 and today has approximately 39,000 miles on it. It is one of only 439 convertibles produced. The vehicle presented is in exceptional condition mechanically, externally and internally. Its European history is available on request. Its restorations allow it to present this immaculate condition. The car is currently in our premises in Valencia. The car is registered in France, has no accidents and the spare keys are available.

ENGINE AND GEARBOX
Its huge 5340 cc V8 engine fed by Weber carburetors and backed up by an automatic gearbox allows the driver to always have a large power reserve at the touch of the accelerator pedal. The first series volante benefits from chassis reinforcements compared to the coupe version to keep its rigidity despite the removal of the roof. On startup, there's no suspicious noise or smoke and the engine stabilizes quickly. On the road, the power is always available and is exploited without any torque dip. The European history of the car is known and the maintenance deadlines are respected. The last service performed at 32236 miles, or approximately 52,000 km, included changing filters, fluids and spark plugs.

EXTERIOR
Muscular, the volante swaps its hard top for a soft top that doesn't break its line. The Cumberley Grey color, a dark metallic gray with brown undertones, is a perfect match for the body's volume. The body is in perfect condition thanks to a complete paint job done 4 years ago; it shows a perfect shine and homogeneous paint thickness values. The chromes are in a perfect state of conservation. The bulky and less elegant bumpers installed on the American versions have been exchanged with a European version on our model. The undercarriages show no trace of corrosion as well as the wheel arches.

INTERIOR
An elegant British convertible must use refined materials such as precious woods, aluminum and thick leather. The V8 Volante's interior is beautifully finished and welcomes its occupants in the greatest of comforts thanks to its wide, thick seats and interior space. The combination of smooth black leather and precious woods is very sober and elegant. Equipped with many comfort elements for the time, the vehicle has radio, air conditioning, or electric windows. The carpets are in a very good state of conservation as well as the rare plastics.

CONSUMABLES
The front and rear tires are in very good condition and do not need to be changed immediately, as well as the brakes, which are powerful enough to stop this big car.
