Chassis number ‘12265’ WAS completed on 25th April 1980 and originally finished in Dubonnet Red. The Aston was delivered to Reg Vardy on 9th May 1980 and exported to Hong Kong where it was registered ‘HP6062’ on 22nd September 1981. In 1998 the car was purchased from Cabin Developments Ltd and shipped back to the UK, arriving here on 16th March of that year. (A letter on file from Aston Martin dated 6th March 1998 confirms the car’s date of manufacture and UK specification).
Re-sprayed Salisbury Blue, ‘GBW 639V’ was purchased by The London Fan Company Ltd from Runnymede Motor Company on 1st July 1998 and subsequently sold to a private owner on 4th November 1999. The Aston was reregistered ‘U 28’ and carried that number
