Description

-Cambridge Blue with Black leather interior and Black carpeting, 80,000 miles from new, Uprated to Richmond 6-speed manual, Cosmetically restored, Mechanically serviced throughout, Excellent in ever way.

This V8's early history is relatively unknown other than it's being delivered new to Canada. The original color combination of Cambridge Blue with Natural leather was subsequently changed at the factory, prior to leaving for its new owner in Canada. It was now painted in Aston Martin Tudor Green (photos on file) and kept its interior as Natural leather. At the time and Aston Martin having been in receivership, it was well known, the factory would do anything to simply sell one of its cars, thus the color change. Delivered to its new Canadian client, it enjoyed long term ownership in Eastern Canada until 2013.

At this time, it was offered to Autosport Designs, but sold prior to our purchasing by Mike Abbas Cars, UK. The V8 was then sold to a Swiss enthusiast where it was enjoyed for several years of ownership. Subsequently, it was entrusted to well-known restorers, Auto Classico, Madrid, Spain. While in the care of Auto Classico, it was striped to bare metal and returned to its original exterior color of Cambridge Blue. All brightwork was restored and thus the cosmetic condition was returned to as new-excellent condition. Surprisingly, this V8 had never suffered any major rust issues, this probably due to its having been stored for most of its life in Canada and their extremely short Canadian fair weather driving season. The original interior was also changed to Black with Black carpeting.

Now in superb cosmetic condition, it received any and all maintenance and mechanical restoration needed to bring to its current superb mechanical condition. It is truly an excellent Aston V8 and has never needed enormous restoration work due to its superb longer term care while in each of its past ownerships.

Since all restoration work had been completed, this V8 has been used sparingly and most recently sold to the United States and West Coast ownership, a good friend and client of Autosport Designs. Having recently sold our friend a DBS and upon a visit to NY to view his new DBS, he sampled one of our V8 Vantage Fliptails. Immediately thereafter, we sorted a deal where the DBS as well as his newly acquired V8 Coupe were taken on trade toward the V8 Vantage.

Currently in Autosport Designs ownership, this is an opportunity to purchase an early V8 Coupe with manual gearbox that has enjoyed long term ownership, superb care and recent restoration work. It is turn key and ready for immediate delivery.
