Description

"The sleek superform aluminium body of the DB9 was initially designed by Ian Callum but had also been significantly influenced by the next director of AM design, Hendrik Fisker. It was powered by a third generation version of the now familiar 6.0 litre, V12 and has a top speed of 186mph. The DB9 was the first of what was to become a long line of production Aston Martins to use VH architecture; using superformed parts in the chassis and footwell as well as the body panels. Aston Martins have always made the interior of their cars to be very special places. The fine detail of finishing is typified by the starter button made of glass and sand etched with the Aston Martin wings logo.
Presented in Meteorite silver with Obsidion Black leather trim this privately owned example of Aston Martins iconic DB9 is offered with a comprehensive maintenance history and so loved as a car that the reason for sale is the owner ‘upgrading’ to a 2013 DB9.
The bodywork and paint are in generally very good condition. In the cabin, the black leather is in good order, we are informed there are no known faults with any of the electrics or switchgear and the car is not due for any outstanding recalls. The last scheduled service was in December 2021 at 57,575 miles, which was a 60,000-mile service when it was MoT’d. The last service invoice is in the history file as is the original handbook and service history book which is fully stamped and complete with 15 main dealer service stamps. Four new tyres were fitted onto the car in May 2021 and have only been driven for some 3,000 miles, two original keys and remote fobs are present. A superb grand tourer, presented in very good condition with full maintenance history. A joy to drive, emitting a very throaty staccato sound from the characterful V12 engine, whether cruising on a wave of torque or wringing it out in fast road driving. With relatively low mileage and a timeless colour scheme, this particular car is sure to delight its next owner and is ready for a trans-continental road trip or club tour at a moment’s notice."
