Description

"The sleek superformed aluminium body of the DB9 was initially designed by Ian Callum but had also been significantly influenced by the next director of Aston Martin design, Hendrik Fisker. Powered by a third generation version of the six litre, V12 with a top speed of 186mph, the DB9 was the first of what was to become a long line of production Aston Martins to use VH architecture; using superformed parts in the chassis and footwell as well as the body panels. The DB9 bodyshell weighed 25% less than that of the DB7 but has double its torsional rigidity. This process also allowed Aston Martin to retain high levels of engineering accuracy, ensuring chassis performance to match the engine power. Aston Martin have always made the interior of their cars to be very special places and the fine detail of finishing is typified by the starter button made of glass and sand, etched with the Aston Martin wings logo, making the DB9 a lovely place in which to enjoy that glorious V12.
Finished in Tungsten Grey with complementary grey interior and unmarked alloy wheels shod with a brand new set of Bridgestone Potenza tyres, this sleek, two owner, DB9 was specified with electric seats, satellite navigation, an upgraded Linn Hi-Fi and the fitment of a Nokia handsfree telephone kit. This example has had just one former keeper and covered 72,973 miles. The service history contains eight main dealer stamps at Grange Welwyn, two at the renowned specialist Trinity Engineering thereafter and most recently £5,000 was spent on the last service which included coil packs, plugs, discs and pads all at GVE Supercars of London. This example roars into life and will give any driver the buzz of Aston Martin pedigree alongside one of the most iconic sound of any modern car with the glorious Aston Martin V12. Attractively priced and fabulous value for money, this is the opportunity to own an superbly built British sports car without the concern of depreciation and in a car that looks equally as good today as it did in 2005."
