Contrary to what its name might suggest, the Aston Martin DB9 is not simply an evolution of the DB7, but a completely new model, designed entirely by the brand's styling department. Its transaxle architecture, with the engine set far back and the gearbox positioned between the rear wheels, provides an ideal weight distribution for exemplary driving dynamics.
Presented at the Detroit Motor Show in 2004, the convertible version, known as the DB9 Volante, benefits from a body whose torsional rigidity has been increased by 10%, thanks to the use of an aluminium platform reinforced with alloy panels.
The example we are offering was delivered new in Germany in July 2005 to a company director with several residences in Europe. The DB9 was soon located in Paris, where it was regularly serviced, notably at Auto-Performance Paris, as well as in Malaga, its owner's second place of residence.
With just over 97,000 km on the clock, this DB9 has recently benefited from a number of treatments at Auto-Performance Paris and LDO Racing.
It represents a great opportunity to acquire a Grand Touring cabriolet with character, combining British refinement and driving pleasure.
