Description

Its V12 engine produced 435 bhp and 410 lb·ft of torque in the manual car, although the automatic GTA retained the 420 bhp and 400 lb·ft of torque of the standard DB7 Vantage. Additionally, the GT and GTA chassis had substantially uprated suspension borrowed from the DB7 Vantage. The tub was stiffened by 20% and special attention was paid to the aerodynamic balance with the adoption of additional sweeps for the undertray, wheel arch liner extensions, and a revised boot lid spoiler which enhanced the new look. These additions helped to reduce lift by almost 50%. Aesthetically, compared to the Vantage, it has a mesh front grille, vents in the bonnet, a boot spoiler, an aluminium gear lever, optional carbon fibre trim and new wheels. It also has 355 mm front and 330 mm rear vented disc brakes made by Brembo.

Production of the GT and GTA was extremely limited, as only 190 GTs and 112 GTAs were produced worldwide.

Presented here is an Aston Martin DB7 GTA supplied new through Aston Martin Mayfair in May 2003 and finished in Mendip Blue over Atlantic Blue leather. Open the driver’s door and you are met with sports seats, a smoked-grey suede roof lining, two-tone leather steering wheel with paddle shift buttons, and classic Burr Oak interior veneers. Other super options included were the Aston Martin Traffic-Pro system with small screen sat-nav, electric front seats, remote central locking with alarm, and a heated front screen.

The service book records 13 stamps from Aston Martin main dealers with the final service being carried out by a specialist in March 2018. In addition to the service, the Aston was fitted with a new radiator, new spark plugs, brake fluid, new coolant, front discs and pads, and injector seals.

Having had just four previous owners, this well-cared for car is now showing just 52,463 miles on the odometer and is supplied with a complete book pack and a spare set of keys along with its UK V5c and valid MoT.

One of only 112 DB7 GTAs, this is an excellent example of a rare model that would grace any Aston Martin collection.
