Description

Chassis No. SCFAB423XYK400551

Engine No. 575

For the 2000 model year, Aston Martin upgraded the performance of its previously six-cylinder DB7 with a new all-aluminum V-12. The chassis was magnificently strengthened throughout, with stiffer springs, new front wishbones and uprights, and a cruciform brace at the rear, and the body redesigned with a larger air intake and grille, as well as a new rear bumper. With 420 bhp on tap, it had a top speed of 165 mph, and the Vantage Volante was Aston Martin's fastest production convertible ever, capable of a 0-60 mph in just 5.1 seconds.

Even today, this model is widely considered one of the most attractive and potent modern Astons, and with the six-speed manual transmission, is a genuine performance automobile and a true thrill to drive.

Jim Taylor's DB7 Vantage Volante, purchased new by this avid and longtime Aston Martin enthusiast, is finished in British Racing Green over Cognac interior with green top and burled walnut accents. In addition to the desirable six-speed manual transmission, the Aston Martin is equipped with power windows, power seats, and Kenwood stereo with CD player, and its painted wheels are shod with Bridgestone Potenza tires. The car shows 56,689 miles at the time of cataloging and remains in very good overall condition, with receipts on file for its regular services and condition upgrades by Miller Motorcars of Greenwich, Connecticut, as well as a clean CARFAX report.

Mr. Taylor has much enjoyed exercising this special DB7, and a new caretaker is sure to savor it as well.
