Description
The DB6 MK2 Volante needs little introduction as it is amongst the rarest of all Aston Martins with a mere 38 examples produced. It is the last of the classic Aston Martin convertibles built at Newport Pagnell during the iconic David Brown era and appeals to notable owners including King Charles III who has owned his since he was 21 years of age. All DB6 MK2s benefitted from many upgrades over the original model with power assisted steering as standard, together with more comfortable seats, radial ply tyres and distinctive flared wheel arches to mention a few. Previously sold by us, this example continues to be maintained by our expert heritage team who also conducted a full body-off restoration on it in 2005 for an avid collector who owned it at the time. Since its restoration, the car has covered just 2,000 miles. The car retains both the original interior and exterior colour scheme with its matching engine number as confirmed with the original build sheet. As with many of these rarer models, during its life the gearbox has been upgraded from the 3-Speed automatic to the optional factory specified 5-Speed ZF manual which it retains today. Supplied with Assured Provenance, new MOT and 12 months Aston Martin Classic Warranty.
