Description

Built in 1968, this very nice DB6 Mark I Volante is a well-documented example that has only had a few owners from new. Delivered new to Aston Martin agents H.R. Owen Ltd., the Volante is equipped with power steering, chrome road wheels, a power-operated antenna, 'three ear' spinners, two pair of front row seat belts and a 3.54:1 rear-axle ratio.

Fitted with optional headrests and manual 4 speed gearbox. This superb car has been extensively restored and maintained by well known Aston Martin specialists like RS Williams and Aston Engineering and comes with a big history file. Fresh out of 10 year ownership this represents a rare opportunity for a sporting Aston Martin Volante and drive like British royalty.

She was registered on 22nd November 1968, remaining with H.R. Owen Ltd. until September 1971, when Lady Wolfson of Marylebone, London purchased it. The Volante is reputed to have been chauffeur-driven during her 26-year ownership until 1997. In 1997, the Volante was sold at auction on behalf of Lady Wolfson, following which the new owner, Mr. R.L. Draysey, entrusted it to noted Aston Martin marque specialist Richard Williams.
In 2001, a manual gearbox was fitted to maximize the pure driving pleasure that this car offers.

One of just 102 DB6 Mark I Volantes produced. You can use it to drive to your cottage or Villa on the Côte d'Azur or use it for some relaxed rallying, the necessary stopwatches and Halda clock are already present!

An unique opportunity.
