Description

1966 ASTON MARTIN DB6

Returning into stock after 7 years with the last owner and finished in ‘period popular’ California Sage with Tan hide interior, we are delighted to offer this attractive and well-presented DB6, equipped with the desirable ZF 5 speed manual transmission. Maintained, regardless of cost, by respected marque specialists for the last 5 owners and 23 years, this delightful car is currently in excellent order throughout. Chassis restored and bare metal repainted over 25 years ago, the current condition is a testament to the high quality of work carried out by highly regarded marque specialists, since when the car has covered some 20,000 miles. More recently, further mechanical works have been carried out, including an engine rebuild (2015) to 4.2 litre lead free specifications, rear axle, brakes and suspension rebuilds, all performed by respected Aston Martin engineers.

More recently, a complete interior re-trim in the originally specified, Connolly Vaumol 846 natural hides and matching Wilton wool carpeting, has been carried out to the correct original standards. The comprehensive history file which accompanies the car, contains multitudinous invoices from respected Aston Martin specialists, stretching back over the last 35 years. Additionally, a copy of the manufacturers original build sheet, a BMIHT certificate and large number of previous MoT certificates populate the extensive leather bound history folder.

Built in 1966 and first registered in 1969 during the David Brown era of Aston Martin ownership, the DB6 was the most popular and accomplished of the 1960s built DB’s. With greater cabin space, higher levels of refinement and improved aerodynamics, over its predecessors. The DB6 justifiably laying claim to being a true ‘Grand Touring’ car, with ample space for four adults and their luggage, to travel at speed in style.

A delight to drive, this very well presented DB6, complete with its Owners manual, tool roll, car cover and jack and mallet, is ready to be enjoyed on any road trip or concours event and will be supplied, fully prepared and serviced by our own Heritage technicians, inclusive of a 12-month warranty and MoT certificate.

Available for viewing and demonstration now at our Hertfordshire showrooms.
