Description
1965 Aston Martin DB5 Vantage Coupe – The DB5 Vantage Icons Collection
Built and delivered in September 1965, to first owners Banner Plant Ltd of Sheffield, finished in Black Pearl. Early servicing records, carried out by Aston Martin Lagonda in Newport Pagnell, remarkably confirms this DB5 Vantage to have covered some 55,000 miles by its 4th birthday, an interesting testament to the model’s durability!
One of the just 60, DB5 Vantage Coupe’s to be built out of a total production run of 1,021 DB5’s, the Vantage model available after one year of production, produced over 10% more power and torque, improving both ¼ mile acceleration and top speed. This ZF 5 speed transmission example, beautifully finished in the classic DB5 colour combination, of Silver Birch with Black Connolly hides, is currently fitted with an uprated front anti roll bar and removeable electronically assisted steering.
Presented to the very highest standards, this highly collectable car was the recipient of a full restoration, completed in the spring of 2016, carried out by renowned Aston Martin Specialist restorers. Subsequently, less than 500 dry weather miles have been covered, whilst being ideally stored in climatically controlled conditions, alongside it’s siblings.
A comprehensive history file accompanying the car, which includes a factory build sheet and service record, MoT certificates from 1976 onward, invoices for parts and services prior to restoration and invoices for the restoration, commencing in 2012. Additionally, a BMHIT certificate is supplied.
Further details of this car, part of the DB5 Vantage Icons collection, are available on request.
