Description

1964 ASTON MARTIN DB5

Restored to perfection, the Aston Martin DB5 we are delighted to offer, finished in Ferrari colour Grigio Ferro with Black Connolly hides, has covered just 1,100 miles since a professional and complete restoration. Carried out over 3 years, all works were carried out by and under the guidance of highly regarded Aston Martin specialist engineers, between 2013 and 2017, to the highest standards as presented today.

With a detailed photographic record, in a bound restoration book and invoices of the restoration process, the history file also contains copies of the original Aston Martin build sheet and early factory service history, noting the fitment of a replacement engine block in 1965 by Aston Martin, whilst still under the manufacturer’s original warranty. Also included within the car’s history file are its period Buff Logbooks from new, sundry detailed invoices relating to services and parts supplied as well as full details of all previous ownerships.

The engine, rebuilt to the desirable specification of 4.2 litre, dyno tested and confirming a power output of 285 bhp, is mated to its original and rebuilt 5 speed ZF transmission. This finely honed and exceptional example of the Iconic DB5 has been carefully driven and professionally stored since the restoration, covering just over 1,100 dry weather miles, since completion.

Delivered to its first UK owner in October 1964, finished in Sierra blue with Grey hides, this magnificent example of the DB5, an icon of the brand and beloved by fictional hero James Bond, has remarkably lived for some 50 years in the same locality in the UK, with one of those owners, for 36 years.

Restored and fully prepared for the next custodian to cherish and enjoy, this exceptional DB5, can be best described as being, as good as it gets. Included in the sale is a fresh scheduled service, detailed preparation, 12 months MoT and 12 months warranty.

Available for viewing and demonstration now at our Hertfordshire showrooms.
