From the pen of Carrozeria Touring of Milan in its purest form, free of nips, tucks and later styling tweaks, the DB4 Series 1 entered production just as the stylist’s and draughtsmen conceived it on their drawing boards.
The beginning of a Golden Age for Aston Martin as a producer of road cars, the company’s international status became raised after a highly successful competition career during the 1950s and the introduction of DB4, not only looking sensational when launched in 1959, but benefited from the experiences, of an outright win at Le Mans as well as lifting, the coveted World Sports Car Championship in the same year.
