Description

"The DB11, pitched as a grand tourer, debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2016 as a replacement to the long standing and successful DB9. Heralded as the first model launched in Aston Martin's 'second century' plan and the first car launched since the company's tie-up with Daimler AG, the DB11 continued the tradition of design focused on 1:3 proportions and included a number of new and unique design features, such as new roof strakes that separate the body from the roof, available in black or body colour and the ‘Aeroblade’ intakes in the front strakes. These evolved the side strakes from purely visual to functional and channelled turbulent air down the side of the car into intake ducts by the C-pillars and forced the air out from the rear vertically as a 'virtual' spoiler providing down-force. The bonnet was a 'clam-shell' design made from a single piece of aluminium, the DB11 does not use the older Aston Martin VH platform but makes use of an all-new riveted and adhesive-bonded aluminium platform that shifts the emphasis from extrusions to stampings thus creating more cockpit space which would also underpin future Aston Martin models; including the Vantage.
To demonstrate commitment to quality, the CEO, Andy Palmer, checked the first 1,000 cars himself. Aston Martin launched the convertible version of the DB11 in 2018, the DB11 Volante has a front/rear weight distribution of 47/53 and shares the same 4.0 litre M177 twin-turbocharged, V8 engine with the DB11 V8 coupé albeit with more torque which enables it to accelerate from 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 187mph.
This stunning DB11 Volante was first registered on 18th April, 2018 and is presented in Skyfall Silver (AML Special) with contrasting two-tone Dark Knight (dark blue) and Light Argento metallic (AML Special white) leather Interior. With just 4,899 miles covered, the car presents as new and upon opening the doors it is noted that the cabin is indeed a very special place to be. In April 2018, this example suffered a GAP insurance claim due to very light damage to the offside front wing. Expertly repaired, the car has been Autolign inspected were they quality check the repairs, as such the car is listed on HPI only as ‘condition inspected’ and back to its correct original condition. Extra's in this, as new, car include Aston Martin Premium Audio, blind spot assist, Black Pack, parking assist, Jewellery Pack, headrest embroidery, sports seats, essential heated steering wheel, Technology Pack, Aston Martin tracking, smoked rear lamps, cooled and heated memory seats. The DB11 sounds as good as it looks especially with Sports Plus engaged and the Volante variant owners have the joy of roof-down motoring.
Offered with a V5C registration document, service book and in stunning order, this example is amazing value for money for a model that is still available new at circa £175,000. The car includes the balance of the five years free Aston Martin servicing and the remainder of Aston Martin Warranty."
