• Launched in 1985 to replace the Alpine A310, the GTA was built by Alpine at Dieppe, with polyester panels over a steel backbone chassis and a drag coefficient of just 0.28. Sold in Britain simply as the Renault GTA, it remains one of the decade’s most distinctive French coupés
• The rear-mounted 2,849cc V6 produces around 160bhp when new, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. Weighing about 1,147kg, it covers 0 to 60mph in the region of 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 145mph
• Finished in Super Gloss Black (Noir Vernis) over mid-grey velour covering the iconic petalé front seats, this naturally aspirated car is offered from five years of current ownership in which time substantial expenditure and effort has been undertaken to tackle the ‘big’ jobs
• Supplied with an impressive history folder with various Renault and GTA handbooks, period GTA brochure, a large file of invoices and MOT Certificates, and the Renault service book with GTA supplement which show service records from its first service on 21/07/1988 through to the latest entry in 2021
• More recent works include overhauling the cooling system and repairing the reverse gear linkage in 2021 as well as fitting a new clutch slave cylinder, followed by a new radiator and bespoke stainless rear silencer in January 2023 carried out by specialist John Ashley
• Hollier Auto Care fitted new front brake pads and discs in 2024 with marque specialist John Law Engineering then fitting a new clutch, front to rear coolant pipes and main oil seal in January 2025, and a new slave cylinder in July 2026. Upgraded to a Weber DGAS 38 carburettor
