Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 Veloce

A genuine driver's car by classic Alfa standards: this beautiful Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 Veloce is in good shape and has had the best technical support in recent years for the purest driving experience. Sure, some modern roadsters could be the better car on paper, but if you don't follow your gut feeling, you'll never know what it's like to be blown away by true Alfa art. This Romeo is exactly what driving pleasure is all about! Besides, all documentation is included, so it’s actually rationally a great offer too. Please let the sun shine every day…?

History
The 1st generation Spider a.k.a. “Duetto” was introduced back in 1966. After 4 years, this 2nd series was nicknamed "Coda Tronca" because of the straight rear for more boot space. Basically, the design continued for another 2 generations. Production of the Alfa Spider Type 4 ended in 1993. The great thing about the Coda Tronca is that all the original characteristics have been kept intact as much as possible. This 2000 Veloce was originally Swiss delivered and put its 4 wheels on Dutch asphalt for the first time in 2015. Since then, the Italian roadster has remained loyal to its owner: a well-known Prins customer. The question is, will it remain in Dutch hands? We sure hope so!

Exterior
As far as we’re concerned, the Alfa Romeo Spider is a born classic and timeless beauty. After all these years, the open sports car still is a feast for the eyes and can be appreciated by almost everyone thanks to its charming appearance. The appeal of the Pininfarina design (of course it is) has no equal and the stunning details will steal many hearts. The Alfa Spider symbolizes Italian style. This has everything to do with the slender bodywork, stretched front and the round headlights behind transparent fittings. The silver-grey paintwork emphasizes that the “classy” design is eternal. Indeed, we can’t get enough of this. Ever!

Interior
The black soft-top says something about the inner of the Alfa Romeo. Inside, the Spider Veloce is covered with Nero leather. The condition is excellent and the large wooden steering wheel is very authentic. Other elements that will boost your nostalgia feelings are the double tubes in which the instruments are integrated. The gear knob is positioned relatively high in the center console, so it’s always within reach. Talking about a true driver’s car…

Technique
Wondering where the addition "Veloce" comes from? The capacity of the 4-cylinder in-line engine was increased to almost 2,000 cc and squeezes 128 hp out of the Twin Cam technology. At a curb weight of barely 1,000 kg, the Alfa Spider is quite fast for an 70s / 80s roadster. Furthermore, the Alfa Romeo classic can be placed into corners with extreme precision and offers lots of old school driving pleasure, also because of the rear wheel drive configuration. The perfect technical condition means that the smile on your face will last for a long time. Maybe even forever…

Cordiali Saluti,
Prins Classics.
