Description
A competitive and road-legal GTAm evocation based on an Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce, rebuilt to FIA historic competition specification and accompanied by a valid FIA Historic Technical Passport.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre twin-cam engine with a road usable 170hp @ limited 7,000rpm , driving the rear wheels through an uprated original five-speed manual transmission.
The car was rebuilt over five years by Alfa Romeo specialist Italclassic of Alicante, Spain, with many competition components sourced through the OKP Race Division.
The engine was specifically focused on the high torque from low down, mated with period and FIA HTP correct engine and mechanical components, a programmable distributor and coupled with a 9:41 differential with a 40/60 gripper for hill-climb acceleration.
It is configured for historic rallying, circuit racing, and hill climb competition, and holds FIA HTP number 51445 in Class CT19 for Period G2 (1 January 1970 to 31 December 1971).
The FIA Historic Technical Passport is valid until 2035.
The odometer indicates 44,410 km, but the car as done 1000kms from full rebuilt with extensive photographic book.
The car was prepared in accordance with FIA Appendix K and J regulations.
This example is finished in is original white colour with a contrasting gold Alfa Romeo snake logo on the bonnet, clover leaf decals on the front wings, and side stripes, over a stripped-out body-coloured cabin, featuring a black dashboard, black cloth-trimmed bucket seats, and carbon-fibre and chrome trim.
It rides on a period correct set of 13-inch GTAm-style alloy wheels finished in gold and fitted with Toyo Proxes R888R tyres - for road use.
Equipment now includes yellow headlight lens, quick-release bonnet and boot lip catches, kill switches, a full roll cage by Extramotion, a Momo steering wheel, Sparco Evo bucket seats, Sparco harnesses, a custom centre console, an OMP automatic and manual fire extinguisher system, an aftermarket gear knob, simplified door cards, an ATL fuel cell, Weber carburettors and Koni suspension.
Accompanying documentation includes the FIA HTP valid until 2035, Portuguese registration documents, road-legal technical paperwork, and a Certification of Historic Interest issued by the Portuguese Car Association.
