Few 4-seater convertibles were produced in Europe after the war, so the Giulia GTC was an exception. Launched in 1964 as a transition between the Giulia Spider and the Duetto, which was not yet ready, the Giulia GTC is a 4-seater convertible based on the Giulia GT. Touring, the Milanese coachbuilder famous for having registered the Superleggera patent in 1937, was entrusted with the creation of the bodywork and only a few 1000 examples were produced. This was the last car made by the Italian coachbuilder who went bankrupt in 1966.

This Alfa Romeo Sprint GTC is a 1965 series 3. It was purchased in 2006 by its current owner. Prior to 2006, the car had received 15,000 Euros in expenses. However, the current owner will carry out a thorough restoration, not completely satisfied with the previous work.
He justifies 27,000 euros of invoices, not including labour. The body was completely stripped and treated. The engine was completely dismantled and checked. It should be noted that the valve guides and the exhaust were prepared. The gearbox was checked, the clutch was rebuilt as well as the brakes. The upholstery has been redone, in accordance with the original, as well as the carpets and the soft top. All this was done between 2006 and 2007.
Although we have no certainty that the car was prepared by Conrero, some details during the disassembly of the engine caught the eye of the former Alfa Romeo competition mechanic who did it.
The car has been running for a good ten years since its last major restoration.

Our test drive showed that the car ran strong, and the bialbero climbed the revs well.
The 3 Series is the most accomplished in terms of chassis and body bracing.
An electric pump, although not compliant, should be installed for the proper use of the car.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire and enjoy a car of which there are only a few left, with a superb line and a mythical engine, all with hair in the wind and with several people!
