Description

Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Veloce LHD - 1965

Who wouldn’t agree that at the end of the fifties the last design overlooked by founder Battista at coachbuilder Pininfarina, the sweet Giulietta Spider, is close to perfection?

Towards the end of production, the up-rated Giulia 1600 Spider Veloce was introduced in 1964, which came with the Sprint Speciale's 129bhp engine installed, making it the fastest of the mainstream production Giulias.

Easily recognisable because of the neat bonnet scoop to accomodate the slightly taller engine, the Giulia Spider also benefitted from a 5-speed gearbox and disc brakes on the front axle. Only a 1.000 were built and today very much sought after by classic Alfa Romeo enthousiasts.

Our Giulia Spider Veloce with chassis AR390767 listed in the 1600 Spider Veloce Register, is still matching numbers and features all the specific details a genuine Giulia Spider Veloce should possess, amongst which the 40DCOE2 Weber twin carburettors, producing the typical Veloce sound. Initially sold new in the USA, this rare Giulia Spider Veloce was recently discovered for sale by a Belgian classic car enthusiast who shipped this Alfa Romeo back to Europe.

What better colour combination could one wish than the iconic “Rosso Alfa” combined with black upholstery with red piping and carpets for this very handsome Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Veloce? The looks are great, the ride… even better!
Come and test-drive this Spider Veloce and we guarantee your summer will be memorable.
