In 1985 the new "75" took the place of the Giulietta, into the mid range of Alfa Romeo's cars. The Quadrifoglio Verde version, equipped with the 158 HP V6 injection engine taken from the Alfa Sei Quadrifoglio Oro, had higher performance. On this small sedan it made sparks and, thanks to an excellent chassis, it was car for true connoisseurs. After the presentation in 1986 of the "Milano" version (the same car with USA modifications) the following year the America version became standard also for Europe, limited to the 1.8 turbo and V6 engines which, in the meantime, he had seen his displacement increase to the three-liter threshold, gaining about thirty horsepower.
In this way, an excellent machine became an instant classic. And it is a fact: the recognized driving skills of Alfa Romeos reach one of their highest peaks here thanks to the qualities of the engine, of an unrivaled elasticity and voice, and of the suspension, which allows you to have fun with the counter-steering without danger, even if you do not have the skills of a professional driver. All on a car that, if driven slowly with the family, shows more than decent consumption and a completely adequate driving comfort.
The Alfa Romeo 75 V6 3.0 went through a brief period of commercial eclipse that had brought its price to negligible values, but today it has returned strongly, entering the crosshairs of the most discerning collectors.
