Alfa Romeo 6 2.5 V6

From Italy to Holland with love: a completely original, dazzlingly beautiful 1st Series Alfa 6! Technically a true gem, but the interior and exterior are also breathtaking. Good luck finding another one with so much patina! The former owner invested more than 15,000 euros into the classic Alfa Romeo during the past 3 years, to get it in the superior condition it is today. What’s not to love about it?

History
Once, the Alfa Romeo Alfa 6 on your screen was in possession of a local count in Italy. After driving most of its kilometers on own property – we can imagine, a Dutch surgeon thought it was time for something new. Genuine car fan as this Ferrari collector is, he had plans to use the Alfa 6 on a daily basis. So he wanted to take zero risk when it comes to the technical part. Costs: over 15.000 euros. So yes, you could that this is a really special saloon. Why saying goodbye to such a masterpiece? In two words: Maserati Quattroporte…

Exterior
There’s no car like the Alfa Romeo 6. With its long and angular bodywork, the 4-door Berlina is full of character. The sharp design is typical 70s / 80s. The overall condition of the exterior is also time-correct: original, sleek and with wonderful patina. The dark blue lacquer is well chosen, since the classic Alfa clearly emphasized timeless elegance. The Italian flagship belonged to the luxury executive class and that is shows. We particularly appreciate the 1st series for its uncompromising looks, without any large plastic bumpers, but on the other hand the iconic double round headlights at the front included.

Interior
Nothing quite as chic as a dark blue exterior combined with a beige interior. Various wood accents on the dashboard, steering wheel and gear knob underline the luxurious style of the Alfa 6. In addition, all systems work properly. Including the air conditioning! The Alfa Romeo 6 is based on the earlier Alfetta, but a lot bigger in all areas. That’s exactly why the manufacturer developed a new powertrain especially for their flagship.

Technique
The Alfa Romeo Alfa 6 symbolizes pure driving pleasure. Of course it does, thanks to the introduction of a completely new 2.5 liter V6 engine back in 1979. For Alfa Romeo, it meant the return of the 6-cylinder after a long time. And the model name sure likes to remind us of its power unit. The 2,492 cc engine has 6 carburettors and an output of 160 hp. Want to know how it feels to drive a classic Romeo for daily use? There’s only one way to find out…

Kind regards,
Prins Classics.
