Description

The car we are offering is in excellent condition, undergoing a complete restoration both in terms of bodywork and mechanics, in "Dutch Blue" color with hazelnut-colored fabric interiors. It is ASI CRS and Targa Oro certified and comes with the Alfa Romeo Certificate of Origin. Ready for any viewing and test drive.

Its origins date back to the late sixties, specifically in 1967, when the Giulia Sprint GT Veloce exits the stage and passes the baton to the 1750 GT Veloce, a model that drops the "Giulia" label from its name. A strategically important car, from which the Biscione's men draw inspiration to create an even more sporty evolution, the 2000 GT Veloce, presented in 1971.

The changes made compared to the model from which it derives are numerous, starting from some details of the bodywork. The 2000 GT Veloce is easily recognizable thanks to redesigned rear light clusters and a grille with eight chrome slats that, protruding in the central area, form the Alfa shield. A distinctive aesthetic detail of the 2000 GT Veloce is also the emblem on the rear pillars, depicting a green enameled snake instead of the conventional green or gold four-leaf clover. The significantly updated interior features a new console, more refined coverings, and more enveloping front seats. The most relevant innovations, however, are under the skin. The engine of the 1750, fueled by two twin-body carburetors, undergoes numerous component changes. The displacement increases to 1962 cm³, and the maximum power to 132 HP. Numbers that translate into brilliant performance: 0-100 km/h is covered in just 7.2 seconds, while the top speed approaches 200 km/h. A thoroughbred sports car, the 2000 GT Veloce will be modified by numerous enthusiasts for use in races. Its career will come to an end five years after its launch, in 1976.
