The Alfa Romeo ""Giulia GT"" was the coupe version of the Giulia sedan. This car was also called Giulia Sprint GT; ""sprint"", in Alfa Romeo language being synonymous with coupe. The production started in 1963. It was the first model produced in the new factory in Arese. The bodywork was designed by a young designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro (who was named Car Designer of the Century in 1999, an award presented in Las Vegas by a jury of 120 international journalists and experts), then employed by the master Bertone. The platform of the sedan was shortened by 16 cm from 251 to 235 cm. It was initially equipped with the 1600 cc, then the 1300 before carrying the famous ""1750"" of 118 hp. It became GT ""2000"" in June 1971 after a series 2 introduced at the 1969 Turin show. It is with the Veloce that a new grille with four lights made its appearance. Several small aesthetic differences distinguish the two versions GT 1750 Veloce and GT 2000 Veloce (Tipo 105.21, also called Giulia 2000 GTV) that we present here, including the 8 horizontal bars that adorn the grille of the 2000, its medallion on the rear quarter and its elongated taillights incorporating the reverse light, first appeared on the American 1750 GTV. Many styling details are found on the body of this magnificent 2+2, which brings us back to the great era of the brand, with a touch of nostalgia when we discover the inscription ""Alfa Romeo Milano"" on the rear trunk.
This Alfa Romeo Giulia 2000 GTV is in a very nice condition and its engine is running well. It is dressed in a superb bright Alfa red color, enhanced by its black upholstery. It is notably configured ""sport"" with the addition of a ramp of five headlights at the front, for the night specials. Lightened to the maximum, it is the perfect car to take part in historical rides or races.
Its dashboard is not cracked, which is often the case on most Bertone Coupes, as the sun has a devastating effect on plastics. Respected and perfectly maintained, this Bertone 2000 GTV Coupe is ready to hit the road."
