This car was bought on 14 June 1957, by Peter Wenger, an architect from Brigue (Switzerland), from the Alfa Romeo dealer in Lausanne, Pescio & de Graffenried (the name of the famous Grand Prix driver, Toulo de Graffenried). The car was painted "amaranto" and featured the optional rear seat. Registered in Switzerland on 8 July 1957 the first owner kept the car until he died, when it was sold to an Englishman who also lived in Brigue. Between 1999 and the date it was sold to the current owner, this Coupéé was maintained regularly by the Aaron de Brigue garage (documented in the file). The engine was overhauled at 31 809 km between May and September 2010, for a sum of 19 609 CHF. The third and current owner acquired the car in 2012, and carried out a full restoration between 2014 and the start of 2015. The body was stripped, treated and repainted. The upholstery, door-linings and lining to the boot were renewed using colours and fabrics conforming to the original. The engine compartment was refreshed, the radiator replaced, chrome renewed and window mechanisms serviced. The gearbox linkage settings were also adjusted. The original wheels (very worn and to be delivered with the car) were replaced with new Borrani chrome wire wheels.

There is extensive documentation included in the file, relating to the car's history, as well as a DVD with details on the restoration project. A rare model, this Coupéé 1900 Touring has the added advantage of having just three careful, connoisseur owners from new. This is a genuine enthusiast's car.
