Description
"Alfa Romeo formed a reputation for impressively styled interiors which outclassed the competition in the late 1990’s thanks to beautifully crafted, form-fitting Italian Momo leather adorning the spacious cabins of their top-off the range super-saloons and executive GT’s. The nearest comparison being that from their close cousins at Maserati. The first generation 166 was, like the 164 before it, available in the UK in either V6 or 2.0 litre Twin-Spark form. A 166 wasn’t every Chairman’s choice. Exterior styling was minimalistic and very individual, a design that has become more distinguished as the years have passed.
This example was registered in January 2001, specified in ‘Grigio Nettuno’ unique to the 166 range with many optional extras including that Momo leather, 16” alloy wheels, heated front windscreen and rain detector wipers. Supplied new in Surrey, the 166 was acquired by an Executive in North London in 2002. He sold the car in 2004 to a local husband and wife who are both on the current V5 at the same address. The 166 comes with original book-pack, excellent service record, original toolkit and both original Alfa Romeo key fobs.
With ice-cold climate control and such a well-appointed cabin, this rare Alfa Romeo with remarkably low original mileage will likely provide excellent value for money to a Classic enthusiast with a sharp eye for rarity and style. With a thriving network of specialists who now provide parts and servicing for the expanding number of passionate Alfa Romeo owners of every type, owning a running a classic Alfa Romeo has never before been so well catered for.The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day."
