Description

If you are looking for one of the best cars to enter any pre-1966 series historic racing series, we have now this great AC Cobra 289 FIA available. A well built example and fully constructed for historic competition according FIA Appendix K.

This Cobra is based on a Kirkham chassis with full aluminium body. Ordered by a gentleman who owned a proper AC Cobra 289 from 1964 (of which he thought it was too nice and too valuable to convert into a racecar), this car was constructed side by side to the original Cobra to get every single detail right. It is built to comply with FIA homologation form 115, and ready for historic racing. The engine is a correct 289 ci. V8 built by Pettit Racing Engines from New Milford, CT, and produces approx. 400 bhp on the dyno. The Cobra has a FIA HTP (Competition GT Car - Period F - 1962 to 1965) valid until 31.12.2029.

The car looks absolutely stunning in Viking Blue, and really is a competitive race Cobra constructed with good attention for authenticity. The car is ready to enter any historic competition series and very attractively priced to sell. A perfect entry in one of the best racing classes in historic racing, and a great machine to enjoy any race track in the world.
